Khrys Hudnell

WCU Class of 20XX

My name is Khrystine Hudnell I like to go by Khrys. I have been doing theater since I was about 8 years old. My very first stage performance was Red-Headed Robbie, A Christmas Story at Hedgerow Theatre. When I was 12 I began Improv Acting, which was also at Hedgerow. I was in their first Improv group which was a great experience for learning to think my feet. I found that I love working with stage lighting and being at Hedgerow I was able to start learning a little about everything in the theater. Being able to behind the lights and soundboard is when I fell in love with tech. My first time as an assistant stage manager was with Hedgerow’s Ethel Waters show when I was about 14 years old. I also got the opportunity to assist as stage-manager as the light and sound operator. When went to Delaware County Community College I really did not act in plays there but, the whole time I was able to work on the plays by set-building, stage-manage, light and sound technical person.  Although I might not b stage I am somewhere behind the scene. I have been teaching as dance and theater after-school teacher since I was 16 years old.
