Samantha Funk
WCU Class of 2019
Samantha Funk is a Theatre major with a concentration in Musical Theatre. WCU performance credits include Blithe Spirit and The Long Christmas Ride Home. She is also actively pursuing costume design after first being introduced to costuming as a work study student her freshman year. WCU design credits include costume and hair/makeup designer for Never Have I Ever, assistant costume designer for Blithe Spirit, and costume coordinator for the 18th and 19th Annual AIDS Benefits. Outside of WCU, she was also the costume and hair/makeup designer for Legally Blonde Jr. at Steel River Playhouse.
Marissa Brewer
WCU Class of 2019
Marissa Brewer is a Senior Theatre Major. She transferred to West Chester University during the Fall semester of 2016 and since then she has been immersed in the world of theatre. During that year she was "Queen Aggravaine" in Once Upon a Mattress and "Ruth Condomine" in Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit. This year she served as the Historian of University Theatre, and the Assistant Stage Manager for Berlin to Broadway and Moving Reflections: A Dance Concert.
Liz Gleason
WCU Class of 2020
Liz Gleason is a sophomore Theatre Major with a Design/ Tech/ Management concentration. Much of her experience at West Chester has been through assistant stage managing various types of productions including Romeo and Juliet, the 2018 ACDA dance conference, and the President's Speech at WCU. She stage managed for the first time for the 2018 SWOAs, and she also has experience in properties and sound. In the 2018-19 year she will be Stage Manager for the 2018 AIDS Benefit, Secretary of University Theatre, and ΑΨΩ's Dramaturge.
Sapphire DeAnna
WCU Class of 2018
Sapphire DeAnna is a senior Musical Theater Major at West Chester University. She’s had the pleasure of representing West Chester at The National Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and the “Artist as Citizen” conference at The Juilliard School hosted by Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP). She has a passion for artistic expression, but also social justice. Sapphire plans to get a graduate degree in Africana Studies and Women and Gender Studies to better bridge the gap between her two passions.
Taylor Mattes
WCU Class of 2019
Taylor Mattes is a senior Theatre Major. She most recently stage managed for Never Have I Ever and acted in the 2018 SWOAs as Abagail in "Cooties". She also played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. This summer, she was fortunate enough to accompany Never Have I Ever at its debut in New York, and worked with the Delaware Shakespeare Festival on their production of Much Ado About Nothing. This year she will be the Vice President of University Theatre and the stage manager for Antigone.
